What is EATiP?

EATiP, the European Aquaculture Technology and Innovation Platform, is an industry-led stakeholder forum recognised by the European Commission as a key actor in driving innovation, knowledge transfer and European competitiveness.

It was set up in 2007 and is an international, non-profit association dedicated to developing, supporting and promoting aquaculture and, especially and specifically, technology and innovation in aquaculture in Europe to:

• Establish a strong relationship between aquaculture and the consumer
• Assure a sustainable aquaculture
• Consolidate the role of aquaculture in society

EATiP is one of the 38 European Technology Platforms, which are industry-led stakeholder for recognised by the European Commission as key actors in driving innovation, knowledge transfer and European competitiveness.

EATIP has been designed to include all members of the European aquaculture value chain, from suppliers through producers to processors within the profession, accompanied by leading research groups and key representative organisation. There are currently 60 paying member organisations.
